Ascension Catholic Parish looks forward to celebrating Sacraments with you! An overview of the Sacramental Preparation programs offered during the 2009-2010 school year, and the corresponding dates, are listed below.
First Reconciliation (grade 4): First Reconciliation is often the sacrament that most of us overlook, yet it is an opportunity to discover the peace and joy that is available when we as Christians reconcile with ourselves, our community and God. Timeframe : Sept – Nov / $25 each Self registration forms available at the parish September 1st to 21st. Parents who need assistance with registration, help is available at the Parent Information Sessions on Friday, September 18th or Monday, September 21st at 6:00 pm at Ascension Parish. Parish Office (403)275-2240 Confirmation (grade 6): Confirmation is the validation of one’s baptism, reaffirming a young person’s conviction to a life commitment to the Catholic Community and provides a young person the opportunity to explore their faith and gifts. Timeframe

Parish Office (403) 275-2240 First Communion (grade 2): First Communion is the sacrament that most are familiar with and marks the passage to a fuller life with Jesus and to the most privileged place of encounter with God. Timeframe March - May

Parish Office 275-2240 Baptism for Children: is a program for children (7 to 12 years of age) who have chosen to be baptised at a later date, or have been baptised within another faith. The program outlines the importance of being baptised, belonging to, working with, and trusting God. Timeframe October to November Self registration forms available at parish on October 12 to 26th. Parents who need assistance with registration, help is available during church office hours at Ascension Parish. Registration Forms for First Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Communion will be delivered to the appropriate grades for the four schools in our area: Ascension of Our Lord, St. Bede, St. Clare and Monsignor Neville Anderson.
Forms are also available on the table outside Ascension church office or online at www.ascensionparish.ca. Completed forms MUST be dropped off at Ascension Parish. GOD’S BLESSINGS FOR A GREAT YEAR!
