One Time Annual Gift:

In addition to my regular monthly giving, I would like to make an additional yearly gift.

United Way Givers:

Do you currently give to the United Way through the workplace? Did you know you can
designate your donation to Ascension Parish?
Simply complete the United Way forms with Ascension Parish’s BN/Charitable
Registration # 107909939RR0005. Ascension Parish will receive your contribution (less
administrative fees) from the United Way.

Corporate Donations:

Are you a business owner? Does your employer match charitable donations made by
employees?
This is another opportunity to help your parish meet its increased financial obligations.

In Honour Giving:

The ‘In Honour’ donation is a unique and thoughtful way to mark a special occasion in
someone’s life such as a wedding, graduation, birthday or anniversary. You can make a
donation to Ascension Parish on behalf of a person you wish to honour and Ascension
Parish will send a card with a personalized message (the amount of the gift is not
indicated).

In Memoriam Giving:

Many families request that relatives and friends make an ‘In Memoriam’ donation when
they lose a loved one. It’s a meaningful way to express sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ascension Parish will send, on your behalf, a condolence card with a personalized
message to the bereaved family (the amount of the gift is not indicated).

Tax Receipts:

Charitable tax receipts will automatically be issued for all donations over $50 when donor
information is provided.

Recognition of Treasure:

For those who increase their giving by a minimum of $5/week and contribute over $1,000
yearly or who make a one time gift of $1,000 or more, your name (with your permission)
will be placed on our Legacy Tree on our new donor recognition wall in the foyer in
appreciation of your generosity and support.

Recognition of Time and Talent:

For those Ascension parishioners who have volunteered their time to help build our
parish community in 2010, your name (with your permission) will be entered in our ‘Book
of Thanks’ that will be displayed in our foyer.
