WHEN YOU DONATE TO THE CHURCH, YOU WILL GET A PORTION OF YOUR DONATION BACK WHEN YOU FILE YOUR TAXES
For the tax year 2021, the federal government provides a tax credit for your donations to Ascension Catholic Parish. They provide a 15% credit on the first $200, and 29% on the remainder to a maximum of 33% tax credit. And also the Alberta government also provides a 10% tax credit on the first $200 donated and 21% on the excess.
A $1000 donation to Ascension Church can provide a tax credit of $450. This means your ‘out of pocket’ cost will only be $550!  Thank you for your support.

PRE-AUTHORIZED DONATION (PAD)

This allows us to debit your bank account or change your credit card on a monthly basis so you will not have to worry about bringing envelopes, cash or cheques. To get started now, please fill-out this pre-authorized donation form and either email it to finance@ascensionparish.ca or drop it off at the Parish Office at your convenience.

E-TRANSFER

You can donate via E-Transfer by sending funds to finance@ascensionparish.ca   A security question is not required. Please indicate the allocation of your donation in the 'Message Box': General Operations and/or Building Fund and/or Together in Action. To obtain a tax receipt, please indicate your first and last name and the email address in the 'Message Box.'

BUILDING FUND
TOGETHER IN ACTION
General operations keep the Church doors open. General operations includes utilities, general maintenance, sacramental programs, sacristy supplies, salaries and rectory expenses. General operations also covers contingencies for emergencies such as covid 19 sanitizing supplies. 
Contributions to the Building Fund go to paying down our debt arising from the building renovations project and the loan to purchase the former Lutheran share of the building. Visit the 'Building Fund Committee' page for more information and other ways to give. 
Money donated to 'Together in Action' goes to support multiple programs throughout the Diocese of Calgary. For more information on which organizations are supported, visit the Diocese of Calgary website.
